ACM expertise at the heart of Hinkley Point C.

After several years in the making, ACM has just delivered three RCV heat exchangers for Unit 2 of the future Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant in the UK.

This delivery took place before the dome was closed to facilitate the installation of the equipment using “BIG CARL,” the site’s main crane.

This delivery marks the completion of the HPC contract, which included the RIS heat exchangers for Unit 1 and the RCV heat exchangers for Units 1 and 2. It is the culmination of an exceptional contract for highly strategic equipment. This contract drew on the expertise of all our teams, suppliers, and subcontractors, as well as the teams at NNB GENERATION COMPANY (HPC) LIMITED, Edvance, and the OIU (EDF’s inspection body).

This success is the result of rigorous work, specially developed technical solutions, and a collective commitment to safety, security, and quality.

This milestone marks the end of a major chapter but also the beginning of a new one, with the ongoing replication for the Sizewell C project, also in the United Kingdom. The experience gained, the specialized developments, and the tools used for Hinkley Point C will benefit Sizewell C and maintain a momentum of excellence.
